Before the jar, before the spoon and before any human hand, honey already had a home: the honeycomb. Thousands of hexagonal cells, built from wax by the bees themselves, hold the nectar of the flowers until it becomes honey. Each cell is sealed with a thin wax cap, like a chest closed so its treasure arrives untouched.
This honeycomb is honey in its purest form. It is not extracted, filtered, heated or bottled: it has not been through any process at all. It is exactly what was in the hive, a piece of the colony’s work that reaches your table just as it left the countryside.
Bite into it and the wax gives way, releasing the honey with all its aroma, as if spring had suddenly opened up. It is the oldest, most honest and most natural way to enjoy honey.
Cut it into portions and enjoy it on its own, on toast, with fresh or cured cheese, with yogurt or on a cheese board. The wax is natural and can be chewed.
Keep it in a cool, dry place, out of the fridge. Over time the honey may crystallise inside the cells: a sign of natural, untreated honey.
Honeycomb of approx. 250 g. As a natural product, each honeycomb has its own shape and its weight may vary slightly.
Limited production. This is a seasonal product: it is only available while the harvest lasts.
